Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, has let slip that the royal baby should be with us 'by the end of the week'.
The 65-year-old spilled the beans during the annual royal summer tour of Devon and Cornwall with husband (and soon-to-be new grandfather) Prince Charles yesterday.
Locals came out to see the royal pair in the gorgeous sunshine and talk quickly turned to the imminent arrival of the royal baby.
Kate Middleton was reportedly due to give birth on Saturday (July 13) but like many first-time babies, the new prince or princess is overdue.
While the nation awaits news of the newest member of the royal family, Camilla admitted that they are just as clueless as the rest of us.

"We don't know what's going to happen. We're all waiting at the end of a telephone," she said during a visit to a children's hospice yesterday.
"I hope by the end of the week he or she will be there."
It's not just William's side of the family that have been speculating over the bundle of joy.
Kate's uncle Gary Goldsmith has revealed that he hopes the Duke and Duchess have a baby girl, as she would be the first monarch to benefit from the new law passed by our current Queen.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are just days away from becoming new parents
The Succession to the Crown Act 2013 states that for the first time in over 300 years, if the first born child of the heir apparent is a girl, she will become queen even if she has a younger brother.
"My suspicion is that they’re having a baby girl," he told The Mirror.
“It would be brilliant, wouldn’t it, if they do have a little girl? To have one of my family, my niece, making history will be absolutely unbelievable.”
